Part of the confusion here is the regional thing. Most of us live here in sunny California where cars have an indefinite life span. We don't have rust, and many of us treasure the original drivetrain.
I have owned the same 1960 Hearse for 30 years, and it's original engine still purrs.
Where you live this is probably not the case so we are comparing apples to oranges.

: man i recieved so much hate mail from everyone, you guys should all lossen up. comparing using a junk hearse in a demo derby to showing a baby casket to a mom that just lost her baby. that was a sick and stupid comparison. these are cars they have lifespans too. they die and get reincarnated into new cars as people get reincarnated into new people. i wasn't asking anyone to use the car they want to keep, nor did i say lets smash up show cars. this is a sport some of us enjoy and some of us think it would be cool to drive a hearse in one. like i said these are not restorable or fixable cars, they would be crushed anyhow you can take any trim glass interior parts etc. off before you start. lighten up everyone. your all worse than the people who say were sick for driving hearses
