: I have tried my best to ignore these posts, but...
: I will make it simple:
: A 1960 WITH 1959 PARTS IS WORTH $0!
: Not only would you be ruining TWO cars, but no collector would buy an atrocity like that! Each of those years hold a special spot in the hearts of "real" car people, and it's not about money on this board.
: My 2¢

: : : Does anyone have any info. on this vehicle regarding it's scarcity, etc. as I have my eye on one, but it needs a major resto. Probably not worth the effort. Could probably buy for $1,750.00.

: : if you could get it and restore it and switch the fins taillights bumpers and grills to a 1959 it would be worth a lot. even as it is i doubt there are many in exsistance they probally made 100 or less that year. i couldn't imagine it restored nicely going under 15,000-20,000 and if turned into a 59 people would probally pay at least 20,000-25,000
: : just my opinion, i'm personally looking for a 60 hearse to convert to a 59. 59 hearse restored are going crazy high 40,000- 50,000. well out of my price range. but who wouldn't want a 59 hearse and a 59 flower car ?
: : good luck
my thoughts are if you want a 59 and can get one affordably by changing a few parts why not. if you want a gto judge and can clone it for 100k cheaper or you want a gsx and can shave 50k of the pricetag or a hemi cuda etc. why not. you will have the car you always wanted at a fraction of the price. if its your dream car and you want to drive it around why not . so many would be thrilled beyond belief to have a 59 clone. no techniclly its not worth the 50k range but i would restore it switch stuff on it and put a built performance engine in it customize it and have some fun with a 59 clone. thats my 2 cents
